TERRITORY

Carossi B&B rises amidst the magnificent sceneries of Langhe, Roero and Monferrato, designated as Unesco World Heritage sites.

This is the land of famous literary walks in the land of great novelists of the Twentieth Century.

Beyond the hill is Santo Stefano Belbo, homeland of Cesare Pavese, who set his novels on the mythical and sunny Langhe. A little further you can reach Beppe Fenoglio's Alta Langa, where the literary paths will take you to the intact places of his most authentic tales.

LANGHE, ROERO AND MONFERRATO

Your trip into the Langhe has its natural starting point here: at the borders of the three UNESCO territories, between Monferrato, Barbaresco, and Moscato's and Barolo's Langa.
Just a few miles away and Alba and Asti present their charm (they are just a 15 minute drive away). They await you with their cathedrals and medieval towers in their intact historic centers. You will come across spectacular vineyards, horizons marked by the profiles of towers, castles, small churches and ancient villages.

In the land of Monferrato you will find the town of Bra, homeland of Giovanni Arpino and now the capital of Slow Food, which has kept its baroque charm intact. Meanwhile, the Savoy memories will accompany you with countless stages in your slow wandering through these evocative lands.
This is the magnificent scenery of the Langhe, Roero and Monferrato, beautiful wine-growing areas of Piedmont which, with their landscapes shaped by nature and man, have become part of the UNESCO World Heritage List.

PLACES TO VISIT

We recommend the area of the Barbaresco hills, rich in vineyards predominantly cultivated with the Nebbiolo grape variety, from which the long-aging red wine called Barbaresco is produced. The area, which includes the villages of Barbaresco and Neive, is dominated by the imposing medieval tower of Barbaresco, overhanging the Tanaro river.
Another recommended destination is the Langa of Barolo, which extends south of Piedmont.
It is in these lands that one of the world's finest wines is produced, the Barolo, a wine of great structure and longevity.
The third area is that of Grinzane Cavour Castle, which is located in one of the most evocative spots of the Langa, 5 km from Alba, famous not only for its wines, but also for the beautiful castle, in which every year an auction for white truffles is held.
